Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe pears
  • 1 and 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup oat flour
  • 3/4 cup of plant milk (e.g. almond milk, oat milk)
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup of natural sweetener (e.g. maple syrup, honey for non-vegans)
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • pinch of salt

Method of preparation

The preparation of this healthy pear cake is extremely simple and does not require special cooking skills. Let's start with the preparation of ingredients.

First, wash, peel and cut the pears into thin slices. Be sure to choose ripe but still firm fruits that will be sweet and juicy. Pears will not only add great flavor to the cake, but also make it moist and aromatic.

In the next step, in a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients: whole wheat flour, oat flour, baking powder, cinnamon and a pinch of salt. In a separate bowl, combine the vegetable milk, coconut oil and natural sweetener. Then, combine the contents of the two bowls, stirring gently so that the ingredients combine, but the mixture is not overworked.

Add sliced pears to the prepared mass and gently mix. Pour the prepared mixture into a baking pan lined with baking paper. Bake the cake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius for about 45-50 minutes, until it turns golden and a tester inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

After baking, let the cake cool on the griddle. This will make it easier to cut and will not fall apart when serving. Healthy pear cake is perfect for dessert, snack or even breakfast. You can serve it solo or with the addition of natural yogurt, fresh fruit or a little honey for extra sweetness.
